   Kurt is a NZIFBB Men's Physique Athlete and New Zealand's premiere personal trainer.  He was b orn January 1, 1990, and  grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. As a kid he was a swimmer who competed on a national level but by age 16 he had enough of swimming.... so he took a break which he never returned from.    Naturally, he started to gain weight and was leading a very unhealthy lifestyle with lots of partying and drinking. He decided to join a gym just before his 19th birthday and got hooked, immersing himself in reading muscle magazines and training. Once he got his nutrition right he really started to notice the gains and so did others.  So Kurt decided to train to compete. In 2010 he heard about the new Men's Physique division and made it his goal to compete in that class and see how far he could make it in the sport.     His entire high school career was consumed with football and the weight room. His diet was much different back then, but it gave him a strong base once he was done with high school.
